Heimtextil 2026 – My Thoughts, Takeaways & What’s Got Me Excited

Last week myself and the rest of the management team headed off to Frankfurt for Heimtextil 2026, with one clear goal: get properly up to speed on wallpaper trends and see what’s coming our way in the year ahead. Safe to say… mission accomplished 😅

We walked miles, talked ourselves hoarse, and overloaded our brains with ideas — but it was absolutely worth it.

Here are my main takeaways.

Florals Are Still Flourishing 🌸

Floral Wallpapers

There was no escaping it — florals are everywhere, and honestly, I’m delighted. One of the real standouts for me was Claire Louise Design Studio. Her designs are beautifully balanced, detailed without being fussy, and feel timeless rather than trend-led for trend’s sake. Proper grown-up florals that still feel fresh.

New Ways to Decorate Walls (Beyond Wallpaper)

One of the most exciting things about Heimtextil this year was seeing how wall décor is evolving beyond traditional wallpaper.

Murafelt really caught my eye — felt wall elements that add softness, warmth and texture in a totally different way. Perfect for modern interiors, acoustic spaces, or anyone wanting something tactile and a bit unexpected on their walls.

Then there were Geo-Lites — lightweight polystyrene tiles that stick directly to the wall and create serious 3D relief. Bold, architectural and guaranteed to make a statement.

A Game-Changer: Self-Adhesive Textured Wallpaper

One of the biggest talking points of the show for me was Rasch and Tesa’s new collaboration — the first self-adhesive textured wallpaper for the European market.

This isn’t your average peel-and-stick. We’re talking proper Rasch-quality embossing and patterns, paired with Tesa’s adhesive expertise. No paste, no mess, no special tools — just peel, stick, and transform a wall in no time at all.

It’s clearly aimed at people who want flexibility, speed and ease without compromising on quality. Renters, DIY beginners, comfort-seekers… this is a big step forward.

China Is Seriously Impressive

I was genuinely blown away by some of the products coming out of China. The level of innovation, print quality and creativity on show was outstanding.

Chinese Designs

Two murals in particular stopped me in my tracks:

  • A stunning, highly detailed mural that felt like a piece of art

  • And a fabric-effect mural that honestly didn’t look printed at all — the texture and depth were incredible

These were proper wow moments and proof that there’s some very exciting stuff coming from that part of the world.

Holden Decor – Wanderlust 2026

I absolutely loved the new Holden Decor Wanderlust collection. Previous Wanderlust ranges have always been bang on trend, and the 2026 offering continues that legacy beautifully.

Think metallics, quirky patterns, and loads of personality — all produced on a high-quality paste-the-wall substrate. It feels confident, fun and very wearable for real homes.

Design Talent That Really Stood Out

Two studios completely blew me away and left a lasting impression.

Symposium Design — Joanne Ganley-Yates and Sidney Yates are absolute legends. Always ahead of the curve, endlessly creative, and producing wallpapers and fabrics that genuinely inspire. Their passion and vision really come through in the work.

Haley Studios brought a real sense of joy and confidence to the show. Their vintage-inspired designs are full of character, backed by years of experience and a rich design archive. Watching the creative process up close — a designer hand-painting a pattern with their fingers — perfectly sums up what they’re about: skill, instinct and playfulness in equal measure.

Final Thoughts

We came home exhausted, feet sore, brains buzzing — and completely inspired. I’m still digesting everything we saw, but I’m incredibly excited about what we’ll be bringing into Nobletts over the coming year.

There’s so much creativity out there, and I genuinely can’t wait to share these ideas, products and trends with the amazing people of Belfast.

Watch this space — 2026 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for interiors.
